Use the Provided Portfolio Guideline below to help you build a professional portfolio you will use in your future. This outlines what to include and how to structure your resource collection.
Gather Resources (10points)
Use the Community Resource Discussion Board (Week 15) as your primary source of entries. (Copy and Paste information from there to your portfolio.)
You may also add additional resources you find independently through research, local agencies, or online databases.
Note: there is no magical number here, you are among to put together a comprehensive portfolio for families to utilize.
Organize Your Portfolio (10 points)
Your final portfolio should include:
A Title Page with your name and course information.
A Table of Contents (if digital, include clickable links).
Multiple Resources needed (most of the ones submitted) each clearly formatted with the following details: (do not just cut and paste then call it good, you will need to re-format with the following before you call it good)
Name of organization or agency
Address, phone number, and website
Hours of operation
Type of service (educational, medical, counseling, recreation, intervention, etc.)
Description of services offered
Target population (age, demographic, need)
Fees (if applicable)
Explanation of the value or impact of this resource for children, families, schools, or communities
Be Creative and Professional (5 points)
You may design your portfolio in Word, PDF, Canvas Studio, Canva or any other format that best fits your style.
Use clear headings, consistent formatting, and visuals (logos, icons, color coding) if you wish.
Ensure all information is accurate, current, and sourced properly.
