Offerings Terms and Conditions

Terms for lessons, consultations, courses, materials and answers.

Last updated: October 22, 2026

This document adds to the Terms of Service and sets out the terms for each offering available on NoteStore. Capitalised terms not defined here have the meanings in the Terms of Service. If an offering’s own page shows different details for price, duration or delivery, the details on that page apply to that offering.

1. Private lessons (1-on-1)

1.1 Booking

You can book a trial, a single lesson or a lesson package with a Tutor at the price on the Tutor’s profile page. A booking is confirmed once payment is received (or, for a free trial, when you complete the booking). Lesson times are shown in the Tutor’s time zone, which is displayed above the calendar when you book. The Tutor adds a meeting link to your booking before the session.

1.2 Free trial lesson

Many Tutors offer a free trial lesson of about 30 minutes. You can have one trial with each Tutor. Trials are meant to help you decide whether a Tutor suits you.

1.3 Changing Tutor after a trial

You can ask to change Tutor after your trial without extra charge, up to twice. After that, each further trial or lesson with a new Tutor must be paid for. If a Tutor does not suit your needs or the trial did not take place, you can ask for a free lesson with another Tutor or a refund under the Refund and Payment Policy.

1.4 Lesson packages

Packages (for example 4 or 8 lessons) give you a stated number of lessons with the chosen Tutor at a lower price per lesson. You book the first lesson at checkout and schedule the rest from My lessons. Packages are valid for 3 months from purchase unless the package page says otherwise.

1.5 Cancelling or rescheduling

You can cancel or reschedule from My lessons up to 12 hours before the start time for a refund or credit. Lessons cancelled later than that, and lessons you miss, are not refunded, and NoteStore may pass the lesson fee to the Tutor. If a Tutor cancels or does not attend, you receive a full refund or a free replacement lesson. You will be asked for a reason when you cancel and it may be shared with the Tutor.

1.6 Lateness and no-shows

If you are more than 15 minutes late without telling the Tutor, the Tutor may treat the lesson as missed. If a Tutor is more than 15 minutes late without telling you, you can report it and request a refund or replacement.

1.7 Recording

Do not record or share a lesson without the Tutor’s consent. Tutors must not record a Student without the Student’s consent.

2. Consultations

Consultations are short sessions with a Tutor on a topic listed on the consultation page, at the price and length shown there. The cancellation and refund rules for private lessons in section 1.5 apply to consultations unless the page states otherwise.

3. Courses, notes, past papers and other digital materials

When you buy a course, notes, a workbook, past papers or a similar item, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it for your own study. You may not copy, share, resell or publish it, or allow anyone else to access it. Items are delivered to your account or by download after payment is confirmed. They are refundable only as set out in the Refund and Payment Policy. Materials are study aids; we do not promise any exam result. Materials are provided under the laws that apply to the Tutor and to you, and you must not use them to break your institution’s rules.

4. Questions, answers and custom requests

You can ask for help with a question or request. The Tutor’s answer or work is provided for study and learning, and may include explanations, worked examples and reference material. The price, scope and deadline are shown at checkout or agreed in your order. Provide complete and accurate instructions; the Tutor’s work is delivered through the Platform. If the delivered work is late, incomplete or does not match your instructions, contact us within 7 days and we will arrange a correction, a refund, or a partial refund. You are responsible for how you use the work, including following your institution’s academic honesty rules.

5. Selling on NoteStore (Tutors)

Approved Tutors may offer lessons, consultations, answers and materials on the Platform. Tutors must provide truthful information, hold the rights to everything they upload, deliver services as described and on time, and follow the User Code of Conduct. NoteStore may review, edit the presentation of, or remove listings that do not meet our standards.

6. Availability

Offerings, prices and Tutor availability can change at any time. NoteStore may cancel an offering that cannot be delivered and will refund any payment made for it.
